  1. I know that I’m in the Right Place, at the Right Time, doing the Exact Right Thing! Thanks for letting me see my world throught those rose-colored glasses. Life is soooo much better!

  2. betsyhaas says:

Rose Colored glasses really is a matter of choice and not a have to. Choosing to see the greatness in everyone is certainly a gift and takes someone with a healthy ego to be able to see all that and let go of the need to be right. I see clearly now that the “rain” has gone!

  3. Carol True says:

How can I be in a great place knowing that instead of discrimination of race it is now based on sexual orientation? I just don’t see the rose colored glasses anywhere. I am embarrassed that the stats show the most oppressed population voted to discriminate against another group! Now that is YAPPY CRAPPY!

  4. I try to see the world through rose colored glasses. I am struggling with my self talk. I have been working out and eating healthly and having a difficult time losing weight. I then start the negative self talk that says; Ii’ll never lose weight, guess I will just be heavy…. etc. I know I need to cahnge my self talk, but how??? Do you think hypnosis will help??

  5. Great question about self talk. That is such a skill to first hear it and then turn it into something that you want to hear. after all it is SELF. You can always use Byron Katie’s Inquiry process. It is 5 questions:
    1) Is it true?
    2) Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
    3) How do you react when you think that thought?
    4) Who would you be without that thought?
    5) Turn around – turn it into the TRUTH and then begin the process all over with this statement and see how far you go until you get the the reality!

How about rewording it to getting healthy and not worrying about anything else? The rest will come. If not check with your Dr.

  6. Rose colored glasses make the view a bit more pleasant but even those have to be taken off to remove the occassional smudges and grime. The good thing about being able to clean them off and put them on again is part of getting to that place of balance that I strive for. I love it that I can leave the glasses off or put them on- sometimes I just need the glow.:)

  7. Jeffrey says:

Is it possible to work peacefully with someone that has different values than me?

  8. betsyhaas says:

Values are a wonderful thing that bonds us together or can rip us apart. Perhaps you can have an open and peaceful conversation with your co-worker and find the areas you do agree on so that you cn work together. The focus on the differences will continue making things rough. Focus on the positives and things will be better. It’s about respecting each other and not trying to change each other.

  9. Adrienne says:

I had a teacher put the rose colored glasses back on my face when she came up and said “thanks for not giving up! Our space feels so much better now!” After a your welcome and thanks for sharing that thought-
We then spoke about how hard it can be for both sides and how things moved, albeit slowly, when the trust was built and the comfort zone expanded. Made my day!
